OUR VISION

But the people who do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. Daniel 11:32b

Welcome to Valley Christian Church, we are a community of Christians who longs to know God deeply and reach the world for Christ.

Our Vision is that together we will search the Scriptures to gain an understanding of the times in which we live so that we may reach the fallen, lost, misplaced, and forgotten both near and abroad with the good news of Jesus!

Our Heart is to reach the youth of this valley through the ministries of Chain Reaction Youth Group, Speedway Children’s Ministry and Valley Christian Academy. We desire to see a generation raised up in the love and knowledge of God, in order to spread the good news both here and abroad.

Our Passion is to know the Scriptures through in depth study of the Bible, to pray for Israel and the peace of Jerusalem, and to worship of Lord fervently through music, as we serve together, eagerly waiting for the return of Jesus Christ!

And He said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” Luke 10:2

Valley Christian Academy

Our purpose is to provide the best education and creative opportunities possible for each child in a Christ-centered environment. Our teachers are carefully selected and our classes have a low student/teacher ratio with teachers' assistants.
We provide a quality program that is both challenging and stimulating. This program is designed to give the students opportunity to broaden their growth and learning experiences while meeting the needs of the whole child - spiritual, mental and physical.
Ephesians 2:10 "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

Passion Center for Children

The Passion Center for Children grew out of deep concern for vulnerable children of Malawi and their communities. Known as the "warm heart of Africa," this beautiful country is staggering under the growing weight of HIV/AIDS, poverty and disease, which is stealing the futures of so many orphans, widows and entire communities. Operating as a dynamic partnership between individuals, churches, and concerned groups in the United States, the Passion Center for children is committed to making a real difference. In just a few years, God has grown the Passion Center into a dynamic, orphan rescuing, widow encouraging, household reclaiming, community strengthing, Jesus focused ministry.

Our Story

Valley Christian Church
We began as a Sunday School class in the 1920's and grew as community of believers that desired to reach the valley for Christ. Moreno Community Chapel, as it was known then, officially became part of the Brethren in Christ in 1956. Over twenty years later, the church changed its name to Moreno Community Church and founded the first Christian preschool in Moreno Valley, which grew into what is now Valley Christian Academy, a school that educates children from preschool through eighth grade. In 1985, the church moved to its present location and became Valley Christian Church. We have seen God's goodness and blessing over the years as a church and as a Christian School.
Brethren in Christ
Valley Christian Church is a Brethren in Christ fellowship. With two hundred years of history, Brethren in Christ churches have been reaching America and the world with the Gospel of Jesus, with churches in more than twenty-three countries around the world. The Brethren of Christ has a unique blending of theological tradition, shaped by the teaching and preaching of Anabaptism, Pietism, and Wesleyanism. The Brethren in Christ website states, "For more than 200 years, the Brethren in Christ have expressed an understanding of living in relationship to Jesus shaped by these renewal movements. What began in the 1750's in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, has since spread across North America and, through an overwhelming receptivity to our missionaries, around the world."
